       International Humanitarian Law
“When elephants fight, it is the grass that suffers.” International Humanitarian law is composed of a body of law that serves to mitigate suffering and regulate hostilities that often occur as a result of armed conflicts. Compliance, however, is a major obstacle that organizations such as the International Committee of the Red Cross  work to promote.
