Ingredients
- 8 apples
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- 1 star anise
- 2 quarts of Ale
- 12 oz of rum
Directions (Serves 10-12)
- Peel 8 apples and remove the core
- Chop the apples into quarter-sized pieces
- Place the chopped apples, cinnamon sticks, 1 star anise into a pot
- Pour 2 quarts of ale and 2 cups of honey
- Simmer at a low heat for 20 minutes
- To serve, pour 1 ounce of dark rum into a mug and then pour the ale mixture on top
