Kensington Gardens & Hyde Park

Yes, London is known as a “concrete city,” however, it also hosts an assortment of parks. Image result for kensington gardensFollowing my tour of Kensington palace, I made it a point to explore the garden area immediately in front of the palace,the larger area, and then, Hyde Park. While aesthetically pleasing, my feet were definitely aching by the end of the day. Note to self: Pack more sneakers for the next trip. I had been forewarned that I would do A LOT of walking in Europe, but I didn’t take heed because I thought I was in good shape. I failed to consider the impact of walking on concrete for 8 hours straight. To add to this situation, I found myself constantly on the “wrong side of the sidewalk.” The English walk and drive on the opposite side of the road  from what I am used to, so it was a huge adjustment. Luckily, I was able to adapt quickly…
