I’m not a big drinker at all, but law school has persistently tried to make me one. I say this because 97% of our law school related events include alcohol (not an actual statistic btw). If I am up for a drink, a gin and tonic is my go-to. My mother considers this to be an “old man” drink (I’ve also heard it described as a “manly cocktail”). For the record, it was a male who first introduced this drink to me. Either way, it’s light and tasty with the right ingredients (see below).
Ingredients
- 1 glass with two ice cubes
- 1/3 cup of gin
- 1/2 cup of tonic water
- 1/3 cup of sprite
- 1/2 a lime
- 1 basil leaf (optional)
Directions
- Pour your choice of Gin into the glass cup (with ice cubes already inside)
- Pour tonic water and Sprite inside the glass
- Squeeze half of the lime into the glass
- Cut a slice of lime to wedge onto the side of the glass for aesthetic purposes
- Stir
- (Optional) Add the basil leaf into the glass
